Mixing Oil and Wildlife at the Rainey Preserve in Louisiana
Richard Stroup reflects on his time at the Department of the Interior trying to explain the key role of property rights in protecting environmental resources. In this short essay Dr. Stroup discusses the Audubon Society’s Rainey Preserve in Louisiana and their decision to allow oil and gas drilling in a way that generated revenue without harming the ecosystem.
